Create an Octolens API key
In Octolens, go to Settings → API and create a key. A key with the read scope is enough for every table this source syncs.
Add Octolens as a source in PostHog
Go to the Data pipeline page in PostHog, click New source, and select Octolens.
Paste the key and pick your tables
Fill in the API key, click Next, select the tables you want to sync — mentions, keywords, feeds, notifications, org_members — and press Import.
Query mentions like any other table
Once the sync completes, the tables are available in PostHog's SQL editor and insights — join them with your events and start asking questions.

Five: mentions (every collected post with its AI relevance and sentiment assessment), keywords (what the workspace monitors, with matching rules), feeds (saved filters plus their destinations), notifications (delivery rules), and org_members (who belongs to the workspace).
Read scope only — the source pulls data out of Octolens and never writes anything back. Create the key under Settings → API in Octolens and revoke it there any time.
The tables sync on PostHog's data-warehouse schedule as full refreshes. For real-time delivery — alerts the moment a mention lands — pair the warehouse sync with Slack alerts or webhooks; the warehouse is for analysis, not paging.
Do both. Octolens analytics answers listening questions out of the box; the PostHog sync is for the questions that need your product data too — like whether the people mentioning you ever signed up. PostHog itself runs mention data through its own pipeline this way.
API access is included on every Octolens plan, so the source works on all of them. On the PostHog side, data warehouse rows are billed per PostHog's pricing.
