Turn mentions into CRM deals
Buy-intent and switching mentions become enriched CRM deals with the thread linked and an opener drafted — pipeline from public conversations, no scrolling.
Set it up
1. Connect the Octolens MCP — add the server URL in your client and sign in. OAuth, no API key. Per-client instructions · docs
https://app.octolens.com/api/mcp/v22. Hand your agent the playbook — hit Copy below (it grabs the instruction plus the full playbook), fill in the placeholders, and paste it into your agent. Pasting the playbook instead of describing the idea makes the agent run this exact workflow rather than improvise its own.
Set up a daily recurring task using the playbook below. Product: {PRODUCT_NAME}. Competitors: {COMPETITORS}. CRM: {CRM_NAME}, stage {PIPELINE_STAGE}. ICP: {ICP_NOTES}.What it does
- ✓Pulls the last 24 hours of mentions and keeps only buying or switching intent
- ✓Qualifies each author against your ICP before anything touches the CRM
- ✓Enriches the contact when an enrichment tool is available
- ✓Creates or updates the CRM record and opens a deal with the mention linked
- ✓Drafts a context-aware opener as a note — a human decides whether to send
- ✓Reports every deal it created with evidence links
Delivers: A daily trickle of qualified, enriched CRM deals sourced from public conversations — each with the original thread attached and a drafted first touch.

How your agent runs it
- 1
Pull fresh mentions — Last 24 hours across your brand and competitor keywords, sorted by relevance.
list_mentions - 2
Filter for intent — Keeps alternative-seeking, switching talk, and evaluation-stage complaints; drops everything else.
- 3
Qualify and enrich — Checks the author against your ICP, then enriches contact and company when a tool is available.
enrichment - 4
Create the deal — Upserts the CRM record and opens a deal with the mention URL and a context note attached.
crm_upsert - 5
Draft the opener — A short, specific first touch saved as a note on the deal — never sent automatically.
- 6
Report — Reviewed / qualified / created counts with CRM links and evidence.

The full playbook
Replace the placeholders, then paste this into your agent as a recurring task.
Every day, do the following:
1. Call list_mentions for the last 24 hours across the tracked keywords for
{PRODUCT_NAME} and {COMPETITORS}, sorted by relevance.
2. Keep only mentions with buying or switching intent:
- "alternative to X" / "switching from X" / "moving off X"
- "what should we use for..." / "recommendations for..."
- complaints about a competitor's pricing, outage, or missing feature
where the author is clearly evaluating options
Drop praise, support questions, and idle commentary.
3. Qualify each candidate against the ICP: {ICP_NOTES}. Discard poor fits —
a quiet CRM beats a polluted one.
4. For each qualified mention, identify the author and their company from
the mention profile and post content. If your client has an enrichment
tool, enrich the contact (role, company size, domain).
5. In the CRM ({CRM_NAME}), using your CRM tool:
- Check for an existing person/company record; update it if found,
create it if not.
- Create a deal/opportunity in the {PIPELINE_STAGE} stage.
- Attach the mention URL and a one-line summary of what they said as a
note, so the first human touch has full context.
6. Draft (do NOT send) a short, non-salesy opener for each new deal that
engages the specific problem in their post. Save it as a note on the
deal.
7. Report in chat: N mentions reviewed, N qualified, N deals created or
updated — each with author, one-line context, and the CRM link.
Rules: never contact anyone automatically. Never create duplicate records —
always check first. If the CRM tool is unavailable, output the would-be
records in chat instead and say so.More skills
