Octolens integrates with Slack so your team can receive mention alerts directly in a Slack channel. Before you can send alerts to Slack, you need to connect your Slack workspace.

How to connect Slack

Go to Settings in Octolens

Navigate to Settings in your Octolens workspace.

Open the Integrations or Alerts tab

Find the Slack integration section.

Click Connect Slack

You’ll be redirected to Slack to authorize the Octolens app for your workspace.

Choose a channel

Select the Slack channel where you want to receive alerts.
Once your workspace is connected, you can select Slack as a destination when setting up alerts.

What you can send to Slack

You can send any view-based alert to Slack. This means you control exactly which mentions reach your team. For example:
  • Send only High Relevance mentions to a dedicated channel
  • Send Buy Intent posts to your sales team’s channel
  • Send Crisis Management alerts to a leadership channel
You can also choose which relevance levels to include. For example, get alerted only for posts the AI deems as high relevance (buy-intent, engagement opportunities, customer complaints, or praise).
Make sure your Slack workspace is connected before creating a Slack alert. If Slack isn’t connected, the Slack option won’t appear as a destination in the alert setup flow.
Once connected, head to Alerts to create your first Slack alert.
